Overview

In this Workshop book the following material is provided:

1) An Introduction the Mummers Plays and Mumming
2) Two full scripts
3) Designs and Costumes for Children
4) A musical arrangement for young people to play as part of the performance of either Mummers Play.

This material has been used in various places over the years and we have found it to be popular and successful. The first script is designed to be used with young people between the ages of 9 and 14 and the second script with older people. However, with the right ensemble i.e. those who are willing to be adventurous and enjoy being the centre of attention, either script will suffice.

We have included a short introduction about Mummers Plays and Mumming and offered links to other sources for those who wish to take a step further.
